well bit of an updae for those that will be interested. sold my a series and all associated spares etc so no going back now. so ive been making my subframe, which is almost complete just a few bits to change, strengthen or tidy up. my new frame weighs 25kgs maybe a bit more. sump and diff are approx 4 inches off the floor will have to be carefull on the old speed humps.







my target is easter but to be honest depends on funds

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

dont know tried to find out, but havent succseeded. cant get it to balance on the bathroom scales.

urm how do you mean, ive just been making it u as i go along. i can do measurements etc once its finished. would that be ok

well another quick update.

tried fibreglass front on and it fits around the subby perfectly, im well happy. the engine doesnt look as low now the fronts on.

i fitted all me suspenson properly and ill have about 4-5 inches of ground clearence which aint to bad, altho not made the exhaust yet.



although i had to remove the turbo actuator to get the front on.



im either going to have to reposition the actuator or move engine back a little, i think icould move the engine about half an inch back with a little grinding and welding ill have to see.
also not much room for intercooler so may have to use the standard on which sits on to of the engine and put a vent on bonnet. ive seen pics of these conversions done and they seem to have the engine further back than me but i dont see how theyve done it cause of steering rack clearences,

im planning on using one of them slim honda radators on the gearbox side, should also have room to fit battery under bonnet.
