Really not that much TBH.

Turbo carb has additional sealing on the dashpot chamber, a slightly different dashpot screw/rod ( again for sealing purposes. And a vacuum leanout system to lean mixtures at part throttle.

Aside from that, they are essentially the same as a normal SU ( aside from needle and spring of course, but they arent necessarily turbo specific ).

IMO, if it was only a low boost setup, a normal SU would probably work fine. With maybe perhaps some thought given to sealing the dashpot screw/rod as it normally has a small hole in the top.

Nope, not a turbo carb.

Turbo carbs usually have a clamp around the dashpot plastic screw top with a matching groove to secure it.
Dashpot screws are usually a domed nut type thing, not straight head screws as per normal carbs....Although any I had, I changed to Normal screws for ease of removal.

Interesting, the ones I have got/seen have all had normal screws securing the dashpot, it has always been the lower float chamber cover that has had the odd screws, perhaps this is what you are thinking of?

Any I seen, way back when, had the security type screws on both float bowl, and dashpot.

But as I say, Any I had or worked on, I changed to normal screws. Im sure Im not the only person to do this over the years, and its been some years since Ive worked on one.

The Burlen rebuild kits come with normal screws to replace the anti-tamper ones. The only exception is the one holding the float shaft in.
