We have had a high capacity, high perfrmance MPI Radiator made which is able to cope with high output, ie Supercharged etc Multi Point Minis or any Mini able to take a front mounted Rad.

It fits in all the original MPI mounts and has all the original MPI fan mounting points etc.

Originally made for VMax Scarts supercharger conversions and now available for general sale. Interested? www.hytheperformance.co.uk

Hi,
Apparently good for a 20LET engine....
But if you're buying a new one why not upgrade?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

It's the same dimensions as the std rad but the core is thicker and has 3x the water capacity of the standard rad.

By the way. I just fitted an Mpi rad to my racecar with an electric fan. This setup did NOT cope.

That's a bummer! Our van struggled with one to be honest. What about an "uprated" mpi rad? Or aren't you wanting to try that?

I'm going the Cincquecento route. Not sure that'll do either, but who knows...

We've gone this route with the van and it seems better already.

We only have a crappy fan and the rad is hiding behind the intercooler.

I have a Cincquecento one for the race car and I am sure it will be fine. Eric runs one on the turbo Clan and it does a good job. Mind you he has lots of water capacity in the pipes from front to back.

I have just put my side mount one back on as the mpi one ran much hotter as well.

Edit, I've got no idea whether it will make a difference but I also trimmed 20mm off the mechanical fan blades in an attempt to reduce the power consumed by it! - this is getting worringly obsessive now the quest for speed.
