Min-its has a Playmini back box that has a 2" 1/2" tail pipe bore.
All the rest on other sites are 3"bore.
So What shall i go for ?
Would there be any difference in peformance in either one noise.?

Cheers..

Tailpipe size does nothing for performance or noise IMO, it's all about looks and personal preference. There are some Vauxhall Corsa boys round here who think bigger is better, too big is not nearly enough and drain pipe size is worth an extra 100bhp!
Performance and noise level is primarily dependant on a good silencer design and correct pipe diameters, Playmini stuff seems to be pretty highly rated from what I've seen.

The 3" ones look a bit to barry boy on a Mini!!!!

2 1/2" tail pipe looks plenty big enough..

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Barry boy lol
Your right there. as i saw one today, and they look big.
Hmmm
Cant find any 2" tail pipes. do they do 2" tail pipe with the 2" at the back that fits onto the middle pipe ?
Or just go for the 2 1/2" rog
Or go for something else that can take the power ?

Has my car got less than 120bhp.. Oh well. I guess a new exhaust will get it up tp 200then.

Have you measured the output on the Maniflow backbox vs. Playmini?

This was the only reason for Changing.

you could make one?

incidentley that "Back Box" is only good for around 120 BHP (full stop)

been there, maniflow claims 125BHP but..... its a lot less IMHO!

any one else would like to comment ?

With Steve on this, Play Mini gives you far more potential.

Never done any trials personally to find the limit of that system however I know people who have rplaced them with Play Mini stuff and found the old exhaust was restricting performance.

At the moment, I'm using a 2" home made system with a Simons muffler. That's why I'd like to buy yours as that's better. Crap, I've got a 2" twin Box Maniflow system on mye N/A car that will produce more.

I now need to get a new 2" maniflow box to prove that this can achieve 170hp.

Well, I now firmly believe that a Play-Mini 2" link pipe is way better than a Maniflow 2" link pipe. No doubt.

In what way is it better mate ?
Plus that will just go onto my downpipe... does everyone use the same downpipe as the one you get of minispares, say?
