just been doing the clutch on the 998 turbo. I bought a mini spares turbo one, because the standard one stared slipping presumed it was just due to the boost.

Its a 998 timing cover and flywheel housing, so they have no breathers. just need to fit the ones with breathers off 1275 i think, when i do the new clutch. 998 turbo in progress.... DONE..........KNACKERED LOL |

did you tighten the flywheel? or could it of come lose, i wouldnt drive it any further you could damage the crank. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Yeah was thinking to drill and tap the transfer casing for breather. But either way i gotta take it off.

benross, he is running one of those decompression plates and 2 haed gaskets, reckon thats the problem?

i would think that if you saw water seeping out its an open and shut case

You can get them 180 degrees out!
you shouldnt be able to fit them 180 degs out as the keyway / slot on the flywheel and crank are off set from the centre line... so if 180 degs out then it wont line up and the keyplate shouldnt fit... unless its a very worn keyplate... |
