ok, how many teeth should the trigger wheel have, mine has 36 teeth (thats counting the tips, not the grooves), and how does the VR sensor know when it is TDC @ no.1 again, does it just count the gaps, or should one groove be larger than the rest ? here is my trigger wheel.

its called a 36-1, 36 teeth with one missing to let the ecu know where is TDC.

Cheers Bat, so when number 1 is at tdc which ever tooth is at the top which as you say should be the one above the key way ?
