im looking at blocks for my engine a 1380 turbo, however what is best to use, currently i have a 1275gt engine in the garage and a metro engine with apparently a ported head and a sport cam however the guy who sold it wont tell me what the exact cam that is in it is, if the guys on here its out of this mini.

so what block would be better a 1275gt block or the metro block? am i right in thinking they would have changed composition of the metal when they changed over from a to a+ as i have heard the 1275gt blocks warping with heat, ive only heard this once and i havent seen any proof about it.

Thanks

Sam

The A+ block should be the stronger of the two...

The Allegro block will be just as strong. THe only thing I'd take into consideration is that of the dizzy if you're using one. The MEtro turbo dizzy won't easily fit the A-block. Also, A blocks are becoming scarce for historic racing guys. They're worth more second hand. That means for a build like yours I'd use the A+. However, I would use the next bore size needed, not 1380.
