Hi,
Just out of interest are there other turbos besides the T2 that will fit the Mirage manifold without any bulkhead mods?
If so what are the different affects the other turbos will give ie. spools up quicker, Gives more boost.
cheers

Hi,
There's the T25, but could weel be too big for a 998. There may be some of the GT series with a T2 flange you could use as well?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Well I think that if you want a nice road car then a GT15 is the perfect match, it is efficient, spools up well and works great. I recon I get just as much power out at a given psi than most others but it comes in real low, However, eventually (12psi??) it will run out of puff so if you are after a dragstrip car then you will need something bigger.

I have not seen anyone try this on a Mirage manifold but it should fit..

The problem is getting hold of the T2 flanged version, I bought mine new ($500- a steal at the current exchange rate!) and its called a 1548, but I have not found a car that its actually used on yet...

I reckon that the Gt17 will fit on the mirage manifold.

This is a picture of a T2 and a GT17 turbine housing:

The T2 is on the right. Cant confirm that you would not have to grind the block or the compressor housing though.

The GT17 is fitted to a lot of Saabs. Do a search for "GT17".

Hi,
I'm looking for a direct replacement to the T2.
I only need 10psi, so the GT15 would seem to fit the bill, but I can't find a cheap one of those either :(
Cheers,
Gavin :)
