I have my boost gauge plumbed into the inlet manifold, however i am getting funny readings. Do i need to plumb it in between the bleed valve and actuator?

Where abouts in the inlet manifold, and what are the funny readings?
Inlet manifold is the right place...

Have put the boost gauge pipe going to the servo bolt on the inlet manifold, gauge is reading 20InHg (around the opposite direction of the gauge from psi) at idle and when i drive and use the throttle it goes up to 0 and will not go any higher?

Hi,
That's your problem, it's after the one way valve.
You need to take it directly from the inlet manifold. There's a spacer that goes between the carb and manifold that you could use if you don't want to drill your manifold. They're available from Avonbar and other good mini shops...
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Am i right in thinking the one way valve is built into the servo bolt? i have removed this and have replaced it with a fixing that screws directly into the manifold in its place, i have then connected my boost gauge pipe to this. i am still however getting negative figures until i rev it where it goes to 0. I have not yet driven it so should it boost up when driven?

Hi,
Yes you won't see any boost on the gauge 'till you drive it up the road :)
Cheers,
Gavin :)
