My inlet manifold does not have the option to heat it, is there any little tricks i can do to get some heat into the carb? (other than buy another manifold)

I had carb icing last night on the way back from bud666's don't fancy it again :S

on another note does a weber DCOE suffer carb icing?

Hi,
Yep they'll ice up as good if not better than anything else.
I usually run some ducting pipe up from the exhaust manifold and point it at the air filter.
I also block off the cold air feed to the filter.
You could try soldering some copper pipe to the inlet manifold and run the water through that.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

i have tried with sucsess, but in a section of pipe from heater tap of on the head then bend it round the dash pot a couple of times the plug back into heater input pipe. heats dash pot up a treat which helps with the icing.

Hi,
Mine (45 DCOE) usually starts missing on light throttle. If you pull over, switch it off for a couple of mins, then restart it's fine for a bit till it ices again :(
Cheers,
Gavin :)
