Car seems to be running hot and dont know why standin any thoughts seems to be a pressure under rad cap after running. Engine so painful just been built lol. Scared of running it to be fair even though it does drop but haven't had a proper run scared of damage or should i go for it.

Got mot wed and the fog light stays on when i put the lights on, and wont go off any thoughts? Took the switch out still stays on?

Tappets came loss and are noisy at 12thou how you tell if there knackered or have answered me own question lol.

cheers

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

There will be pressure in the system once the car becomes warm

When you drive it and get some air flow through the rad it should cool down

Is the fan on the right way around?

Sounds like youve got a wire jumbled up on the rear lights, one of the rear lights running to the fog light or something simple

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

to add to Nic excellent advice have you a 74 deg stat fitted to help things out
and have you all the hoses plumbed in right!

stowmaket suffolk

make sure that the screws are not hitting the back of the rocker cover..

mine is running a 82 deg thermo with no holes in and the heater tap is always open to the heater and works fine.

so i would sugest either headgasket and refit thermo with no holes in.

holes in the thermo will let to much water pass through the rad to quickly so the rad wont cool it down enough found this out years ago and works perfect now also will heat up alot quicker.

also change your temp sender as these can play up.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

if it's just been built has it been setup? when I fired mine up the first time, the igntion timing was too retarted, so ran hot.

Hi,
It's a luck of the draw kind of thing. You've got nothing to lose by trying.....
I did it and mine's still ok 7 years later!
Cheers,
Gavin :)
