Ive had a scan through and not really found a definitive answer about electric water pumps.

Ive seen a few mentioned like the bosch pump, and a few OE pumps but no feedback of what works and what doesn't?

Has anyone found a good pump that doesn't result in an empty pocket?

cheers
matt

Ive run a canister type Bosch pump for 3 years now, which works very well. Its similar to a KAD one.If you do a search you will come across a part number.
Let me know if you need to see a pic.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

Actually mine cost me nothing, but £190ish sounds about right.

The KAD one is from a coffee machine. Scruffy uses one with no problems.

I have one similar to this.

I'm working on the assumption that it will probably be better than the std mini water pump.

IMO The Davies Craig pumps look crap.

Stewart Warner make some nice units, although not overly cheap.

I have the Davies Craig EWP80 and it flows 80 litres a minuit, had no problems with it, dont know why people knock it for the price, bonus is its light. JohnK runs one on his Gold 16 valver and i dont think he has had any issues either

I tried the DC pump on my RV8. It could barely keep the thing at normal temp during normal driving.

In the end I gave the pump away explaining why I though it was rubbish, as no way would I sell it to anyone.

Although plenty of people do seem to get results from it. I wouldnt use one again though as the main pump.
