forget tape and a junior hacksaw, the teeth still grip, shread and flare the ends.

The best way ive found is to use those 1mm thick cutting discs in the angle grinder and go slow

I'd go for the frine grindging disc, they work great.

I also use junior hacksaw. Put the hose in a vice to grip it, but DO NOT crimp it. You want your cut line just out of the vice. Then pull the other side of your hose so that you put it under tention where you are going to cut. The tension keeps it neater as you cut. Done 100's like this.

make sure you clean out your hose when you have it all assembled it.

Working up the BHP ladder.

multi tool cutters (like the dremmel) work a treat. If you want a nice finish put a bit of heat shrink tubing over it after.

Going to get some 1mm cutting discs tomorow and see how i go, yes am daft but hopfully not daft enough not to clean it out afterwards, shouldnt need the heatshrink as am putting fancy goodridge fittings on !. Just need to drill and tap my reg now (not looking forward to that).

Thin cutting discs rock *happy*

slightly O/T, but I did a safety course recently on such things.
Interesting, that a stone cutting disc, whilst labelled for stone. Isnt quite correct.

You should use a stone disc for cutting aluminium. As its actually for non-ferrous materials, rather than just stone.

Or buy a set of pukka tube cutting shears. They work a treat, and you have confidence of no crud in the line.
