Does anyone know the resistence of a ford EDIS coil.

Ive got about 1.0 ohm on one side and about 0.5 ohm on the other.

The 0.5 ohm side is not firing.

However, the test leads are 0.5 ohm, so they both appear to be very low.

Just been out and measured mine....

Meter does zero.
Cheers,

Well, I've just picked up the new coil and they are both 1.1 ohm ish om my meter.

So allowing for my 0.5 offset at zero, same as yours.

Thanks

Remember a coil is just a piece of wire wound round a magnet so it will always have very low resistance if healthy.
