Excavated this one because I have an inlet manifold and a spacer and a throttle cable plate and a carb but when all are sandwiched together, the progressive butterfly spindle arm still fould the inlet manifold..
anybody had this?
(Yes I did use gaskets between all)
:(

Hi,
Where did you fit the plate in relation to the spacer?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Plate next to carb but the problem is there arent enough things to sit the carb far enough away from the manifold, so order does not affect my predicament? It is a converted NA carb. any chance they have an incorrectly shaped throttle arm thing?

Mine also fouled on first installation, but I am a born bodger so I "eased" the manifold a little and got about 10 thou clearance, which is enough, isn,t it ?.

Yes, I used a Montego carb and the progressive spindle fouled the manifold with all the spacers in the right place.

Some gentle easing of the manifold was my solution too (it's quite thick)

A free solution, excellent!
Cheers, though I was thinking another 6mm spacer would do it assuming the plenum clears..
