Hi,
I need to modify my 2WD Cossie intercooler to get it to fit where I want it.
I need to cut off both end tanks and fit something smaller, to this end I'm thinking of using 2" pipes.
I'll only be running 10 psi, so could I get away with smaller diameter pipes?
Would these hose joiner pipes be suitable for welding into the new end tanks?

Cheers,
Gavin :)

If they're of any use, I've attached pics of my cossie intercooler installation.

I haven't needed to remove the i/c headers but have used some Stainless 2 inch exhaust pipe bends to make up custom delivery and return pipes which use smooth radius curves for lower flow losses and hopefully reduced turbo lag. The i/c is mounted on a couple of sturdy brackets and there's a temperature bulb on the back which sends a signal to a gauge on the dash.

Should be ready for first light in a week or so.

Richard.

Nice installation, that's not a 2wd cossie intercooler though, its a series 2 Escort RS one.

Hi,
That's one seriously nice looking engine bay!
But that intercooler is an Escort RS Turbo one, a Cossie intercooler is twice the size of that!
Cheers,
Gavin :)

EDIT ... Geeeze, I really must type faster *surprised*
