It's interesting that the last one is allegedly an early valver, as from my limited knowledge it looks more like an 8v.

Maybe it is an 8v, maybe it is a 16v, maybe we don't know everything about K heads, maybe Simon was right.

Rob that is a 16V, I believe they did make a K100 in both 8V and 16V (or as BMW named them 2v, 4v).

I assume they were all 1000cc at this point, then the 16V changed to the K1100 when they up'd the CC's? *oh well*

IMO no,

the early K10016v had a roundy cam cover with the fixings in line just like the K1100&1200 16v
