i believe you will have to modify a helical one to get 3.1 or lower (i.e higher gearing)

Hi,
Have you got you're LSD yet?
If not buy one of the new Quaife ATBs as these fit standard crown wheels I believe...
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i thought it was much better to machine the lsd casing than the crown wheel? as when maching the crown wheel it became fairly weak?

the drop gears will make a slight difference but not that much

not to get involved too much, but imho machining anything at that end of the system is a recipe for diff / CW failure, if it mattered that much mate i would flog ure present LSD and do what Bat said mate, that way you know the tollerences etc have been checked by the good people at quaife.

just me though. remeber if you were to get a failure at that end, nine time outta ten its going to be a minimum of a new gearbox casing.

sorry, i mean machine a std cw to fit on a lsd type diff, whether you machine the casing or not is down tot he manufacture of diff used (this is how i understund it anyway)
