My engine etc is more or less done.
But i just come across my oil temperature gauge.
But where do i place this temperature gauge sensor ? *oh well*
Pic's would be great also *wink*

i made an adaptor and put it in the sump plug hole but i guess its not ideal

you can either drill and tap your sump, or if your lazy like me you can use a sandwich that goes between your oil filter and housing, that has 4 holes for whatever you may need.

Done a search but no luck in finding one.
You know where i could get hold off one.?
Doe's it have some kind of ADAPTOR where the sensor screws into ?

that would work but you wont have the magnet on the end, i have just fitted a inline one to the filter, ms used to sell the mocal unit

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

What's the right name for the one you have on your filter rich.

looks like a good bet to me although i don't know what the mini oil filter thread is.

also I'm guessing the raid adaptor has a couple of different sensor threads.

the other thing that might be doable is to thread the oil releif valve cover to take the sensor like on MPI's

In fact i've just bought one of those ebay sandwich plates, i'm going to use it for the turbo oil feed and oil temp gauge.

Also the mini is the same filter thread as an escort as I have used the water to oil coolers from xr3i's

wow, no i have a inline mocal unit which fits from the block to the filter housing, but to be honest you would be better of with the sandwich plate as its only a few quid more and looks better to.

in fact i think im going to get one.

I thought it goes between the oil filter and housing?

Got mine today, just screws in between the housing and oil filter.
Works a treat :)
