Are you talking bout trumpets?

I made one for a pulsar bout 3months ago except the id of the filter was bout 130mm LOL

They do help direction of the air flow into the intake pipe from the inside of the filter.

also have a queiry about the ultimate engine steadys as i would like to fit one to my n/a engine then re-use it on the turbo i was wondering does anyone know which i could use with both :)

thats the shame i dont know which would fit better *tongue* i havent seen the second hiff 44 air filter the round flat top one before so i am not so sure on size and clearence with the bulkhead

Benross is spot on, the ram is in replacement of a filter (or maybe with a sock over it) and the stub stack is designed to go inside a filter.
