I'm about to wire in the injectors to the Megasquirt.

It ocurred to me that I've never seen any reference to polarity with regard to injectors.

Does it matter which way round you connect the +ve and -ve ?

Thanks, Bat

I was just concerned that the coil may pull in either direction depending on polarity.

I'll use the same polarity as the Rover loom I'm cutting up. That should be Ok then.

Some injectors do have a positive marked on them.

But Ive wired them up both ways in the past when I havent found a marking, and they've always worked.

for reference if you look at the connector (assuming its typical bosch top-feed) on the injecor so you have the 2 sticky out bits at either side and one out the bottom.

you have to be holding the injector such that the inlet is at the top and outlet pointing down.

the +ve is on the left. but as above i have wired them both ways and never had issues :)

There is no polarity as the moving core isn't a magnet. It will always move the same direction, toward the coil.
