there are various hifs, varios furl regulators, and various fuel pumps

you need the 'turbo' HIF (or convert an na version to turbo spec)

you need the metro/lotus 1:1 rising rate fuel reg with fuel return going to the tank

you need the metro turbo 'roller vane' high pressure fuel pump (or equiv)

Good luck

You need to plumb in the proper fuel regulator and return to tank. Until you do this any amount of changes to the carb is a waste of time.

What do you mean "NOT through it" ?

Stop pressing refresh after you have posted - it causes a double post.

the turbo carb has a groove in the aliminium top bit just under the black plastic screw on the very top

a non turbo carb doesnt.

also have you got a high pressure fuel pump?

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

If you have fuel in the float bowl then to just start the car you can forget about the fuel supply. With the float bowl full and no fuel coming out of the jet I can only think that there is either a blockage between the float bowel and jet or the needle you have is too fat and blocking the jet.

Can I ask how you are checking that no fuel is coming out when cranking? Have you tried turning it over and squirting eazy start down the carb? Does it fire then?
