hi, just wondering if i could buy any t25 off of any car and use a bleed valve to set it to what boost i want? Or does the turbo have to be specifically for a mini?

If you're not sure on setting the boost then you shouldnt be just picking random turbo's that sound good for bar points... have a read up on things like AR's and matching turbo's to your engine spec etc. No good having a turbo for 10psi boost that doesnt come in till 6000rpm! Iain, how many times !! its fooking "bar horse power" not bar points, lol i give up sometimes.lol |

What these guys are trying to say is a one turbo from the T3 family might behave significantly different to another T3, as it could have different compressor or exhaust A/Rs.

If you can find a T3 over there with a 45 or 50-trim compressor, and a 0,35 turbine, you'll have a pretty good turbo on your hands for BIG power outputs. Definately check what is available. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:
