As above , I won a turbo T3 manifold and a plenum Of ebay. I see the elbow is missing where would i get one or can a flange be bought like this one.

The turbo is probably scrap kowning my luck so i'll probably replace it with a T2

why not hong kong? i buy loads of bits from there and they usually are here quicker than bits i buy within the uk..

Dont know what condition its in other than it spins which could mean anything. I see there are bits missing and the casting housing is point the wrong way.But its start on gathering the bits up.

saw that on ebay, looks like the bloke has the turbo on the wrong way round, and its missing the acuator bracket of the front of the compressor housing.

stick your finger in each end of the turbo and push the shaft in and out, if there is much play then it needs rebuilding, a little side to side play is acceptable as long as its within reason

should get it some time this week. i hope. Dont mind rebuilding it anyway for the sake of £50. Anyway i have manifold and plenum. I know i pay to much for it really. But to buy or get a plenum made was gona cost that £110 or more think i done all right

Surely if you need a flange that shape, you wont have any provision for a wastegate, unless you switch to an external wastegate.

The Mirage T2 setup has the same shaped plate on the downpipe and still runs a internal WG

My Mini build diary

It came this morning the waste gate is on it so i just make up an elbow. didn't realize how big the T3 was .Very little play in the shaft. But will do for now. So Pleased enough.
