A mate of mine bought one of these last time they were on offer, his garage is on a slope so he uses it to pull his TR4a restoration job in and out. I don't think it is really up to the job of lifting anything heavy, the brackets supplied with it are really poxy looking pressed things.

So, if that 250kg is for a single pull, then adding a snatch-block will raise it to 500kg? Sounds like a bargain!

What i don't understand is "Maximum lifting height: 5 metres at 250kg or 10 metres at 125kg"... How does this work out?

Its one of 2 things but i think TD is refering to a pully with a hook on *tongue*
