hi folks
im new to the forum here so first of hi to you all

the question is basicaly as in the title
there was a turbo mini van on here a while ago http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=154687

now this is obviously the same van
but does anyone here know the 'story' behind it
is it a kosher sale or is it a scam with some guy selling the same van as often as possible?

If you are interested in buying it, would ask for a viewing first, drive it and only pay in cash on collection.

dont even bother its fucked. I drove it, it didn't come on boost but you could hear the turbo spool up, very strange.

not overly quick and not overly impressed by the handling either.

IMO over priced and not as advertised.

I like the van, i thought it was supposed to be well built etc? i'm not overally fussed about the engine, just looking for a tidy van/pickup for some fun

£2000ish doesnt seem bad for a nice one even with some engine troubles.

Thing that i find strange is its on ebay USA? is my computer being weird because i'm on dutch internet?

Strange sort of carb/ turbo layout?

this has been sold about 3 or 4 times in the past 6 months.. i doubt it, and now its on US ebay.. its a scam

Its on US ebay so that he can get rid with no come back......

Body work is not perfect and its not just engine problems, suspension, brakes, interior all still need sorting aside from a few body problems.

why's the post on it gone missing?

to be fair i sold a fairly nice straight van for £2k and that seemed a fair price at the time.

although it has its problems i would of thought it would be worth 2-3k?

if it was local i would have a look, its so tempting from photos and the fact a few members saw it last year and thought it was smart.

just an opinion...

I deleted the post... Because it is clear from those who look at the auction that they'll only be referenced by that one post. Dev knows enough about minis for me to trust that if he says there is something very wrong with it, for this to be the case....

Cheers Dave, both me and Jackman looked at it and i test drove it. Pictures are fantastic of it, but up close and personal it was different.

Seriously avoid.

Also i approve of the post being deleted, it would have been unfair for people to come on see favourable comments on something that was not right.

i think i'll take your advice and avoid !!
to be honest in more interested in the van part than the turbo part ... if that makes sense..

im based near belfast so it would be a massive risk flying over and finding out its not what i was expecting

as for removing the link on this site, i'd agree 100% ... i was interestded in it and was encouraged because of the good comments on here

Fair play to you but when i looked at it in december there was something seriously wrong with it.

There was no boost what so ever and the guy wouldn't allow me to rev it past 4k.

Something very wrong.

He told me you would be more than happy to hear from me if i had any problems with it, in order to resolve them.

Sounds to me like he goosed it and now wants rid then.
