Hi,
Does the White wire with the red stripe have power on it when you try to crank it over?
It will be located on the solenoid, either on the wing or the starter itself *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

sorry about all the posts, should just think things through before answering!

try getting your mate to jump your starter, attach his earth to your block, and touch the starter post with his live, if that works and it doesnt when he puts his jumpers on your battery, you know its likely a battery/battery cable issue

Edit, also check all your earths (battery and engine)

I think i may know the problem but it involves a bit of testing to find the fault.

Put a multimeter to the live on the solenoid, and check how much power is going to it.

get someone to turn the key and check the power coming out of the solenoid if there is power then follow the lead to the starter, check that for power.

One trick to try, short out the solenoid, get a spanner or something and connect the two lives together, then providing everything after the soleniod is fine it should turn over and start.

I had the same problem when i bought my current clubby estate with the original engine that was in it.

Doesnt take long, but does sound like soleniod too me.

hope this helps
