wel just got in form having my turbo running for the first time
8-) actually buzzing! was cool to have like 6 months work nearly finished!, got a few teething problems as i was expecting tho, firstly the fuel tank seems to be pressurising, when the cap is removed there is a woosh of air, im thinking breather or possibly where it is low on fuel?? and also not had it moving yet but when static should you be able to see any boost on the guage when revving the engine, i hav vacume an as revs increase goes to 0 but not into boost side, just running standard actuator at the moment is it a possibility that the spring may be weak?? thanks for your help guys !

congrats!

no, youll see very little boost (if any) by revving the engine under no load, so thats nothing to worry about.

Its pretty unusual to see any boost on idle on any car let alone a 1.3 with a T3.

with the tank it does sound like the breather may be blocked or squashed.

yeh i didnt mean boost at idle, just while free revving the engine,i suspected it would need to be under load, yeh i wil check, am i rite in thinking the mpi tanks has a breather running down the back of it? also whet it the static ignition timing at idle??

cheers

Hi,
There's a valve in the breather on a MPi tank, try it without?
Cheers,
Gavin :)
