I have put these on a few minis. Basically w ejust turned down a pulley to the correct size and then slipped it on with a bit of glue. On the TT it has some tabs welded to the pulley to keep it on. Both road cars are just push fitted though.

where do you get those particular toothed wheels from? i salvaged one from an old sierra but there getting rare in the scrappies.. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

have you any side pics the pulley when its machined is it fitted on the inner part of the pulley ?

i bolted mine onto the front of the pulley with 4 little bolts . ill find a pic ..

Managed to get the use of a lathe this morning and turned down my pulley .first time in ten years that ive used a lathe but it was a sucess ,will be fabing up a holder for the crank sensor tommorow hopefully

Yep the ring-gear method works well, once i machined the standard pulley and then i lightly trued up the trigger wheel .

you could use a grub screw to fix the outer ring to the damper, then you can loosen it and make minute adjustment to get the sensor exactly 90 btmtatdc (before the missing tooth at top dead centre) "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

will the quite heavy trigger wheel affect the damping characteristics? ( will it still work properly).
