i want to remove the rear bins, but does it reduce the structure of the shell? i'm trying to lose weight! (to the shell). YOU CANT POLISH A TURD, BUT, YOU CAN ROLL IT IN GLITTER!!!! |

Most people would say that every part of the mini is structural, and helps with rigidity.

I've removed mine but had to add additional plating to the B post and sill as Bat pointed out to join the 2 together. |

mine is getting a full cage tied to the shell so i should be alright i think |

as others have said, if youtake them out weld a little plate to tie the b-post to the sill, i ran my mini with the bins & seatpan cout out for two weeks with no cage & it did feel like a little stiffness was lost, put a 6-point cage in & its was betterthan standard,

any bit of metal you cut out will reduce the strenght of the car. many here have fitted flip fronts, cut the rear bins out and even the rear seat.
