The car was starting ok before all this.
My mate come round and had some spare fuel,
so i put some in the car. after about 2 minutes the car stoped. anyway, got the car started in the end, but run abit crap.
Thought what the hells going on.
so i looked at the fuel filter and noticed it was yellow.
so i could tell me knob mate had give me some fuel that had shit at the bottom of the fuel can *oh well*
i drained the fuel out which looked like a cloudly crap of shit.
put some nice fresh fuel in.
It just wont start at all.
checked the plugs and they were soaked in petrol.
so we leaned it off abit.
now it's not getting any fuel into the engine whatsoever :(
Kept adjusting the mixure screw to richen up again, but nothing.
I can tell its not getting fuel into the engine, cos we put some fuel into the plug holes to see if it would try and start, which it did.
fuel going into the carb ok, but not into the engine.
what else could i try. could there be shit in the carb etc ?
where would it be blocked etc.
Any help would be great.

Thanks alot :)

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the float bowl valve will be stuck with debris
remove carb take btm off of carb 4 screws check the valve the problems there

if not debris in the main jet but you could check this with the carb on the engine
remove dash pot top

you need to take the carb off and clean out the float needle valve and the jet.

You need to take the carb off to open up the floatbowl

Hi,
Before you pull the carb off, have you got fuel at the pipe going into it?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

make sure you replace the inline filter to the carb

if you aint got one .... get one installed PRONTO! .. to prevent this happening again, thay are not expensive around £2 to £3

no, it's this bit

the filter is the part at the bottom, don't know if it's sold separately.
