Hi,
I'll start at the beggining.
4 years ago the Police pulled me up for not wearing a seat belt, even though I was. I sent a complaint to the IPCC, upon investigation they could find no trace of the officer who saw me with no seat belt on, it was one of those roadside check setups, with cars and bikes allover the place.

That got overturned, never got my money back though :(
Just before Christmas I got knocked off my motorbike by a hit and run driver with no insurance :(

Luckily someone got out of their car helped me lift my bike up, I chased after them, got the reg of the car a phoned the Police.

When the Police contacted me after the accident they said he'd admitted it was him and they'd inpounded the car as it was not insured.

On Friday is the court case I've been asked to attend, prosecuting the driver and passenger of the car (also the cars owner)

So I booked the day off work at the end of last week, only to get a phone call yesterday saying the case had been discontinued due to a lack of evidence!

Imagine how pissed off I am!
IPCC here we come! Again :(

Sorry to hear that Gav, hope you get it sorted, annoys the hell outa me that we cough up an arm and a leg to insure our selves and get the cars roadworthy, then some tosser just drives about and gets away with it.

shit one. I blame the Courts. It really bugs me when they get away with it.

People often think I have an attitude towards the police/legal system.

Any wonder.....I could nearly write a book with the crap Ive come across in dealings with them, and my friends.

I do hate to say it, but far too many of them are dirty lowlife lying scum.
That even goes as far as the people in the courts, who one time I was in court, they read out a total pack of lies to the Magistrate. When this was pointed out, even the magistrate didnt care, guilty guilty guilty.
I simply couldnt afford a defense.

Not all cops are bad for sure though, but a worryingly large percentage are..

Yep, theres just not justice anymore. Its all gone to pot and they are too fucking lazy. ok, im sure there are some VERY good police officers out there but from what iv seen and past experiences i have completely lost faith in the police and the U.K's justice system.:(

Cant agree more more but take the law into your own hands and its you ho gets all the backlash it stinks.

i have been pulled a fair few times in my 2 years of driving only two were how to put it real reasons for being pulled over. i have sat in the back of a police car for nearly 45 mins before outside of somones house, the reason they throught i went arround a corner to quick (yes i did a bit) but there was no evidance or proof of it. they were trying to bribe me and treataning me with points and all sorts was redicules, have been pulled over after my exhuast was ripped off and half hanging off going over a speed bump by the police car behind me saying then my car was to loud... i have been pulled for looking "suspitious" bassically young person driving a big car at the time. the amount of dirty/stupid/anoying police officers i have delt with i am sick of them. even when i got mugged my first year of college the police did fuck all even though i told them who it was... some police people are very nice helpful and generally ok but most of them i have encounterd are cunts and do nothing.

i have thought and have taken the law into my own hands, just cant trust them to do it for you anymore.

I've had good and bad experiences with the police. one shouted at me in my face, one called me a cock. on the other hand, i've been polite to them, they've been polite to me and i just had a verbal warning

What other evidence do they need if the guy admitted it?

Sometimes you think there's no justice...

This is what needs done to some of the law lol

A Barrister from London runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Glasgow copper .
He thinks that he is smarter than the copper because he is a Barrister

Glasgow cop, "Sounds fair. Exit your vehicle, sir."
The Barrister exits his vehicle.
The Glasgow cop takes out his baton and starts beating hell out of the
barrister and says, "Do you want me to stop, or just slow down?"

It amazes me how it's took 3 months to come to this conclusion, they've already had them in court where they pled not guilty...

here lies the biggest miss conception. the court is to blame here as usual they have failled ! the courts are a seperate entity to the police you need to contact the CPS (crown prosecution service) and ask for a report from the barraster, they must provide you with this........... MUST !!!!!! if you feel there has been a neglect by the courts you can complain about the barraster to the Law Society,

mind what may have happened is the bloke is a prolific shit bag he may have been up at court for say dealing class A and the RTC was bolted onto the case ? in which case the barraster will have withdrawn the RTC as the bloke would not get anything more (sentence wise) than what he may be getting for the other offences if this makes any sense ?

it sucks big time and it is wrong but it is NOT the police this IS the courts failling the honest few once again.


sorry you have been messed about, request a CICA claim form for compo. and stir up a hornets nest matey.

if the police get your case to cvourt for you, they have succeeded in what they are there to do, anything after that point is down to the crown prosecution, police would be called to court to give evidence as interviewing officers or if they have witnessed the incident.

Hi,
Thanks for that Richie, being a layman in these matters I've now idea how it all works. I'll get on to the CPS as this now puts my insurance claim in a bad light :(

They call them speed cameras, but I think they're spy cameras, as they take pictures even though you're not speeding!
