I've just joined this forum to get info on Megajolt which I intend to put on my Midas. I haven't read everything yet but I would like to know if there is a definitive answer as to whether it's OK to machine the harmonic damper as a trigger wheel, or if, as some say, the rubber bonding can cause variation in the timing. Someone here will know...

Hi,
Welcome to TM. :)
IIRC there would only be around 1 degree maximum movement on a good damper, so not really much to worry about.
Give the search button a go, it does work very well and should cover most you need to know about MJ, anything else just ask :)
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Dampers machined by Phil via me have been on approx 20 cars now, some coming up to 2 years. I've heard of no reported problems.

Thanks very much, everyone. That's one thing less to worry about.
