I going to try and pop down my local Ford dealers later in the week to see if I can get some connectors to build a proper loom for my MJ. Anyway experience has taught me that it's a lot easier to find parts on Fords computer system if you can provide the registration of the car that they are for, if you don't already know the part numbers you want. So can anyone help me out buy giving me the details of a suitable car?

Thanks

Rob

the connectors are supposed to be impossible to get on their own. Many have tried---and failed. Its written about on the autosportlabs site I think.

will have to be mid 90's as they dont stock parts over 10years old. You might have to get them to search nationwide.

Or try yellow pages for Ford Parts in Dunston, Gateshead. hes got a warehouse full of bits and cars

I doubt Ford will supply just the connector but if anyone's got any close up pics of the connectors both on the cable and the EDIS I might be able to figure out who makes them. Even if they are Ford's own 'special' connectors they will still be made by someone for them, such as Tyco, Amp, etc.
Any numbers / names or other markings on the connectors would help too

The coil pack connector is an odd shape, but can be dismantled and fitted with new pins. This is what I did when I wired the DON up.

Hi,
I've got a 93 escort 1.4 that's outside ready to take me to work in the morning.
I guess it's got EDIS?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I'm pretty sure it'll have EDIS.

Bad news, I went down my local ford dealer earlier today, and the chap it the parts department was very helpful, but sadly both the edis connector and the coil pack connector are only available as part of the engine loom which costs silly money. The only connector which is available on it's own is the one for the VR sensor but that's £12 so you might as well get one from trigger wheels for a lot less.
