Anyone used one of these? From reading on here most people advise and use a MJ but I would like more of a stock engine bay and was wondering if this would help as I can hide it away and still use a dizzy????

I'm running an SC 12 supercharged 998 (Which looks a bit old skool)

My limited understanding of my options would be:

MJ
Static timing
having the weights changed / modd'd to suit

Do I have any other options?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Hi,
You could use MJ with the standard dizzy.
Weld an electronic dizzy up and use that as the trigger for the MJ.
Then HT system as normal...
It'll still stop in the rain though!
Cheers,
Gavin :)

You don't have to use coil packs to have mapped ignition. You could use megasquirt where the ignition options are much bigger and you can keep the dizzy if you want.

would the MSD module not do what the MJ MS would??? I just want to make the car as reliable as possible?

What costs am I looking at for MJ/MS?

MJLTjr pricing not too bad.

due to low dollar the kits are quite cheap (Just got one in.. about 90 quid for the MJLTjr. build). found a whole row of fords at the crappies. But the 1.8 CVH sierras are rare these days so you are either limited to fabbing your own trigger wheel, just bying a made trigger wheel or getting ready made kit (SC/KAD..)

i opted for the SC kit as it is not all more expensive than buying a trigger wheel and having machining done.. and a lot slicker.

To be honest i would probably just bin the dizzy

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system
