Simple wiring for spi fuel pump into carb car with turbo engine?

Iv done a search for wiring the spi fuel pump in and theres a few topics iv found but its a bit vague.

I know you need a relay to shut it off for oil pressure or something?

Does anyone know a basic way to wire it in as i need to start my engine soon and im a bit confuzzled to say the least.

Hi,
The best way is with a tachometric relay and an inertia switch.
The way they did it on the Metro was with the oil pressure switch.
Grab a 5 pin relay.
Pins are;
30 .. Fuel pump (fit inertia switch between here and pump for added safety
87 .. Fused battery feed for pump
87A .. Feed from crank position on ignition switch
85 .. Ignition feed (fused to protect relay 2A max)
86 .. Oil pressure switch

Setting it up like this will make the pump run at all times the engine is cranking, but will only continue to run when the oil pressure light is out.

Cool, cheers, that makes it seem a lot easier.lol

One thing though, i removed the small oil pressure switch thing when i fitted a t-piece and a braided oil hose for the turbo and i fitted a sender for my oil pressure gauge. Any way of linking it to that?

Hi,
No, that will be a variable sender you need a direct switch to earth to operate the relay.
Choices are; an oil pressure sender/switch combined or another tee piece for the pressure switch.
