Fuel pump - running problems

Hi all. Have just fitted a new fuel pump to my car and since fitting its started running rough. It starts fine but when being revved it splutters and sounds rough. Any idea's of what could be causing this? Iv got the car booked in for a tune up and on a rolling road sat morn but want to get it running at least sort of right before i take it. Im guessing maybe it could be getting to much fuel? Any ideas/ help much appreciated. Cheers, Matt

Its a 1293 turbo, i replaced the fuel pump as the other wasnt "man" enough for the job.
Iv just been out an played around and have found a faulty spark plug the culprit!
