I having abit of a odd problem, some times the start motor will turn the engine over no problem and start the car, other times it will really struggle after afew trys it will ease up and spin over and start. Any ideas? its an inershar type starter with a brand new start sol.

Bad earth. Throw out needs greasing properly??

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

why would that be intermitant tho?
thats the bit thats got me, also i have 3 earth straps on the engine including one from the start motor mounting bolts...

Are you trying to start it with the clutch pushed down??

clean both bat terminials, and also the earth strap lug on the bat box, then try again , most problems is just dirty connections.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Hi,
Ignition timing can also cause this, are you running a dizzy?
I don't think you should crank it over with the clutch pressed.

yeah still on a dizzy, keep thinking about MJ, will i get any more power out the beast with it? anyways checked all the earth and there alright, also checked the timming looks alright.. wondering if the starter is f**ked
