Hello, having some issues with my wiring atm, currently i only have indicators working on the passenger side and the hazards dont work at all. Fitted 2 new flasher units and a new hazard switch. The indicator flasher unit clicks when you move the stalk in both directions but nothing flashes on the right. Also the inline fuse keeps blowing (brown and purple/orange wire). Any ideas i hate wiring and have gone over it all more times than i care to think about lol. Cheers

Connect the 2 wires from the indicator flasher unit (on bulkhead) together with a paper clip. If all indicators come on solid then you know the wiring for the lights etc are ok. Concentrate on getting the indicators working properly before looking at the hazards as they are obviously linked and hazards won't work properly till you've sorted the indicators. What rated inline fuse are you using for the hazards?

Hi,
I'd start by looking at the bulbs, holders and wiring on the side that won't flash.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I agree with Bat, I had a similar problem, turned out I'd got the live wired to the earth side of the bulb holder. Doh

Careful - I'm a sensitive little poppet

Sydney Australia

I would disconnect the wires connecting to the bulb first.

Then replace the blown fuse, then connect both wires at the flasher.

If the fuse still pops then you have a short. If it doesent then check with a test light the wires to the light socket. One of them should read 12v. (make sure the blinker switch is on the corresponding side).

This live wire will feed the socket pin which should not be connected to the ground pin on socket.

The way you can check this is put the alligator clip of the test light to 12v then touch each pin at the socket (the wires must be disconnected) The pin that glows the test light is the earth side. Connect the 12v live wire to the other pin which doesn't light up the test light.

Then connect the other wire which should be the earth.

When you try the blinker the light should illuminate.

The only thing left should be to connect the flasher.

X - 12V+ (WHEN INDICATOR SWITCH ON)
L - FEED TO BLINKERS

HOPE THIS HELPS
