Can I ask are these 7.5 gallon like the pre injection ones (1974-1990) or are these bigger (something sticks in my head about 9 gallons?)? Are they secured by a diagnal strap or something else? And finally, what sort of fuel hose/line do you use for under the car, do you need a solid line or will decent fuel grade rubber hose do (Areoquip stylee but cheaper)?

They are 7.5 gallon I think, secured by a diagonal strap although it is somehow slightly different although I can't remember how. I use the standard MPI fuel lines (solid) underneath as this gives a really neat job.

Ah I see. Looking at the MS catalog, they show a strap that is different from the diagnal one on my 5.5 gallon tank (labled 27 and 28). Maybe that is how they're strapped in?

I will hunt down some hard line, I will do a search to see sizes for fuel and return lines. T(h)anks again! Heh...

Hi,
Pic doesn't work :(
TD said in a post I read on here recently about MPi tanks, that you can cut the original strap and overlap the 2 ends by about an inch and weld it up.
Cheers,
Gavin :)
