at the weekend with some help of ollie i striped one of my engines, i have it in many peices but i cant seem to remove the block from the box, i have undone all of the nuts an bolts holding them together that i can see.

If the gearbox stilll has the diff on,turn the whole engine/box combo onto it's side so the diff is touching the ground.The weight of the engine alone should break the seal.

Ive lifted the engine a little at one end (via crank tail) and struck the gearbox casing with a hyde mallet in the past on stubborn ones, but double check you have removed all the fixings!

yeah all the fittings are off, i gave the block a good few whacks with a copper+hide mallet but not the box, i will try both ways. its just im trying to seperate them for neil to have the block Drives

make sure you have got the bolt out from behind the timing cover this ones always get missed always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

didnt realise there was one there tbh i think i have all the bolts off of the engine lol :_) ill have another look 2moz :) it will be seperated Drives

A few gentle taps around the case with a soft head mallet has always worked for me.

Sorry for the rubbish explanation btw. i gave this a shot first as it was the first one to be put up, safe to say it worked perfectly :). shame i forgot to take out the dizzy drive before trying to remove the crank and pistons :( cheers for the help people :) Drives
