Awright people?? Just need to know the spec on these MIRAGE MANFOLDS. Does the inside of the manifold contain any deflector plates??? Also is there really any big difference btween that and a standard one??? Thanks for the advice!!

What do you mean, deflector plates? Like James Bond stuff?? I think you have to go for the deluxe version then!

Yes there is a big difference between these and the standard ones a few are:

-Stainless steel
-Possibility of no body cutting

inside the standard manifold there internal plates(type of) that direct the gases downwards. If those mirage ones aint got that they must be shite. The gases would be fighting each other.!!

You've got a point, but many on this site have got good results with it. Anyway, the gases have only one way to go at last.

I agree that the two outer pipes pointing against each other are not optimum, but they atre good enough to give over 200hp.

in fact the 2nd fastest car on here runs one, (the fastest has a 16v head)

considering they are primaraly intended to prevent the need to cut the bulkhead they work well too.

May as well not fit a turbo either. That weedy entry, and restrictive turbine wheel !!!!! Its bound to cause a massive restriction.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

People have discussed design of the Mirage Manifolds for years, and their flow characteristics, however they produce the results.

Here's an old post on them:

However if you want something that flows better and still fits without bulkhead mods how about one of these:
