are cambelt kits worth fitting? is there any gain over the chain?

Gains IMO are 1, they dont stretch so time the cam in at what you require and you dont need to run 200 odd miles before the timing is correct. 2, they dont transmit crankshaft harmonics to the valve train.
I seriously doubt it! |

the kit in itself is good but they should have used newer belt profiles as the ones used by MS use a rectangular profile (kinda old fashioned) and thus you can not just order a proper and stronger Gates/Pirelli item. minimania do a upgraded version btw. Im running one on my N/A clubby with VP8C cam and ive had no problems except oil leaks from the back plate!!!

My 3.0 H6 Quad cam Subaru boxer engine has chain driven cams, these chains would be more than long enough I'd have thought? Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
