Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

No!...... IMHO! there junk and will lead you into problems

you are better sorting the problem at route level ..........................................(ie) altering the combustion chambers

Yes, it's a plate and 2 gaskets. I have one fitted with the Vmax supercharger kit.

Hope to be in a position to change that in the future but won't have the chance for a while so will have to stick with it!

The spacers are a good idea if you are supercharging an MPI or somthing and want to be able to change it to standard if you flog it, but as above it will be just as cheap to get the chambers enlarged,

also if you have to pull the head in the future it'll be 20 quid a time rather than a tenner!!

plus with the spacers you loose squish (que Vegard lol)

If only I had known at the time! *oh well*

Well as soon as I can afford to I will look at getting the work done to the head and getting rid of the spacer.

Cheers

Hi,
Alex .. I'm sure they do, but A series head gaskets aren't exactly bullet proof in standard form!
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Proven 200+bhp & Avon Park 05,06,07 Class D 3rd place

in principle if you don't got stilly with the boost, I don't see a problem with it.

there isnt a problem with it if you dont go silly wiht boost and your ignition timing is perfect, but the facr is that the a- series head leand itself well to being opened out to lower the CR without bodges like decompression shimms. i have to run a decompression shim (s) and i have had my fair share of failures when pushing the limits. on an A the option of openin gout the head is right there infront of you, making decompression shims a very lazy mans bodge.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

Gav - how much cc do you need? - you can get A gaskets with 12cc in them

JK

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!

Well John all I know is the engine is 1293 and as far as I know the head and and deck hight are standard. I was probably looking at 15psi with the charge cooler system.

Gav - do you know what piston dish you have - and is the head "n/a" style?

Don't know pistons until engine comes out in about a month, and head is a standard turbo.
