The fact that those indents on the side could lead to a fracture in turn leading to a couple less teeth?

i think its shagged and it looks new as well so could it be poor quality? no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

If thats a newish MiniSpares part, get on the phone to them as they are having issues with their quality at the moment regarding gears

So where do i go from here, they said it's ok , do i wait for it to break? I don't mind if a part break it's it's as it should be, BUT I'm not happy if it break cos its shit to start with. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

There is no way i would be fitting a part that looked like that, new or not. I have stripped a 78k mile standard box and the gears looked better than that!!

Well guy thanks for your imputs, sadly you have confirmed what inside i was trying to NOT listen to, but i get so down when the cars out of action i just needed it fixed. Looks like i'll be calling then Tuesday, I just can't see how i can move forward with it, were they have already said it's fine when i clearly isn't! Like you say Matty any of the others gears i've ever owned have NEVER been like that from new. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
