Alright there, Just thought I'd sign up as I'm going to be in need of alot of advice soon, when I put this....

Brought from everybodys favourite auction website as a complete metro turbo engine showing low oil pressure but no knocks or rattles I thought it's got to be worth a try. So a long trip down the A1 and back yesterday brought me to my turbo motor. Everything is there, from starter to radiator brackets!
The plan is to go the Germany in the summer on the Retro Run, then when I get back get cracking on saving the money needed for the rebuild and installation!

Some of you who are on TMF might recognize me from there, as I based my rebuild thread on there...

Hello, please take it apart and try to cure the low oil pressure before putting it in the car, it most likely WILL die otherwise. Most un-rebuilt metro turbo engines are in all honesty pretty knackered these days. I'd recommend a crank size check, grind if needed, new bearings, and a new oil pump, as an absolute minimum. All that should come to little more than £120 ish and really should be considered essential.

Oh don't worry guys, after Germany I'm going to have it rebuilt with full new gaskets, crank grind if needed, but definatley new shells/rings etc. Thanks for the warm reception :)
