I finally got round to positioning the IC facing forwards in the 998T. So to make the most of it I've cut a hole in the bonnet. Using cardboard and lots of gaffer tape I've boved it in too, so any air entering the hole has to go through the IC. Felt a bit perkier at spped on the way to work this morning.

This car is not about being pretty (obviously), when I move house and have a bit of time, it's getting a new front end etc.

I think it looks great like that! All the more fun to blast the chavs with! I may get some copper grease spray on the front of mine under the headlights to copy the effect......

When you come to fit a new front let me know if you want to borrow my spot welder.

Round holes are for the pretty boys, this is function over form.

You're not the first to comment on the plate saying FAILURE.

Hard to say really, I don't toss about as much as I used to. This is one of the reasons I'm taking it to avon this year. I drive this car to work every day (21 miles each way) and it returns over 40mpg. It drives as well as any production mini ever made, but has lots of power too.

I reckon 0-60 is an easy 8 seconds,

Ive fancied turboing just a boggo mini, no silly boost just a bit of extra oomph.

You have round holes, you're a pretty boy. In reality what that means is that your car looks better than mine, no argument there.

It's a Series 2 Escort RS one.

TBH I don't think my holes had much function other than to save a bit of weight. Part of the reason why ive cut the front end to bits now. I think ive got some of that foam padding stuff at work like Robert uses, would do a nice job of sealing yours up, waterproof too! *wink*

Oh dear, just waiting for the perv society ( Aka Nic, Robert) to misinterpret all this! Lol

Nice color !
I would avoid such holes in France, cops don't like "strange" things.

cant really comment on the holes bit though mines got a round square-ish one as it runs with no grill *surprised* i got an invisible intercooler though lol my excuse...

It is the red gaffer tape covering the holes on the bottom of the doors that sets it off....

BRG, with bird shit detailing and rust brown patches. And gaffer tape over all the holes so it passes the MOT. It's a wonder to behold, wait til you see it in the flesh!.

I should point out one thing about round holes, have a look at the TT.

Here's some more photos of the beast:

That's how a real Mini should look.

Not like some of those dressed up tarts you see on here that never go out in the rain.

Love it.
