Hi,
I've just been on the Heritage site and I can't believe my eyes!*surprised*

£2.5K to paint a bare shell!!!!

My new estate rear doors have over doubled in price over the last 2 years, it's more now for 1 door than I paid for a pair!!!

Are things really that expensive now or have I just chosen a bad example?

Is called supply and demand. Supply is the same but demand has gone up, price goes up as those who really want the parts will pay for them

Webba ... Yeah I know what your saying but a painted Mini shell is £6.5k *surprised*
You could just go out and by a complete mint MPi for that much!

No MPI for 6.5k i Mint *wink* every mini has rust, some, well most, have rot ( more so the MPis), except the concourse cars that live in a nitrogen rich inflateble bag and only come out for the shows, and they are well over 10k *wink*

I paid 2.4k for a herritage shell in '04 and then shelled out (excuse the pun) 1.1k to have it painted. Its hell of an increase in 4 years
