surrey / ewell area.

Starting to feel the turbo route coming on.Prob gonna go t2 with mirage manifolds. only trouble is engine built for supercharger running 8.5.1 ,not thinking of alot of boost maybe 10psi tops with intercooler . couple of questions though, mg metro carb which has been converted for supercharger seals etc(can it be used) and gearbox has been freshly rebuilt,orange clutch pre verto etc uprated diff pin. Is this box gonna cause probs with reliability, i dont race it atall just pootle around to shows and the odd sunday blast . i guess with a t2 as apposed to t3 the boost is more progressive and wont give such a big kick when it spools up.p.s already have a plenum minus elbow and a t3 turbo and manifold,dont think id need it it but thought id mention.The head has bronze guides and 37 inlet 30 exh would this be ok?Dont need sodium valves? can i use an mpi tank for return fuel line

Hi,
With 8.5 you can stuff loads of boost in there!
If the carb was blow through on the SC then I cant see why not...
Head should be ok, no one runs sodium valves unless the head came with them.
MPi tank will be fine.
Intercooler and Megajolt well worth having *wink*

Thats the thing it was the standard suck through set up just getting****** off with the ******* idle issues/general running and fuelling, noone seems to know the correct needle profile etc even vmax!
