right i'd thought id post this up to gauge peoples opinion.

im currently rebuilding my mini and up to now have been running the turbo technics 'suck through' system identical to the setup on the cover of this months miniworld mag.
i recently bought that morspeed turbo motor that was on ebay a couple of months back so i intend to fit that as i think it has the potential to be a bit of a monster.
SO, due to the setup i was running previously, i have not yet chopped the bulkhead about to accept the larger t3 unit on the morspeed motor. BUT, i have a brand new T2 fitted a 360 thrust bearing kicking about that i was going to use on the TT setup.

so shall i just go ahead and fit the bulhead box (which i have no problem doing) and run the morspeed motor as is OR do i run the smaller T2 on something like a mirage manifold and leave the bulkhead intact?

what sort of boost will the upgraded T2 be able to take compared to the T3 unit? and what would the difference in power most likely to be between the two?

all advice greatfully received. cheers guys

t2 what? ...you need to put in the spec of the turbo to compare ,

manifold wize ,i think nic has shown that a mirage can make power .

i have no idea of the spec T2 off the top of my head. im working away at the moment and the turbo is at home. i think its the same as the R5 gt turbo unit but will get hold of the spec at the weekend

Hi,
Depends on how much boost you want to run and how much you want to spend and whether you want to cut the bulkhead.
T3 will run plenty of boost, bolt straight on.
T2 pushing it to get much more than 10psi. It will bolt on the metro manifold with an adaptor or £350 for a Mirage.
Mirage also do a hybrid T2 or you could go T25 for more boost....
Cheers,
Gavin :)
